Economic Grievances

I am tired:

… of being overworked, underpaid, unappreciated.

… of being considered “privileged upper class income” simply because I do not hide income from the IRS.

… of knowing that I pay taxes for many others (the real privileged) who do not.

… of saving money all year so I have enough to pay my taxes in June.

… and therefore not having enough money to go on a proper and well-deserved vacation in July.

… of giving, each year and for years now, the equivalent of a medium-sized car in taxes, while I sometimes don't have money to fill my car with gas.

… and still knowing that I will never enjoy proper public services, be it from health care to roads.

… of seeing prices going up. And up. And up. And up. And up. And up.

… of giving a third of my salary each month towards my "pension", although I know that these money have already been stolen and I will be lucky to get back peanuts.

… of being lawful in a country that this is considered stupid.

… of paying back money which were stolen and knowing I'll never learn who did it.

… of still being considered privileged and "unaffected by the current economic circumstances".

… and therefore being terrified of any new law which will pass due to the "current economic circumstances" but only “affects the privileged” (i.e. me, never mind I have no money in my pocket).

… of listening to politicians, from any party, who seem to live in their own universe, happy and gay with their corrupt supporters and friends. Correct that, I am not tired, I am really, really, sick.

… of living in this country, which once was the great democratic Greece.
